Dreams

Dreams

Written by Keith Mouland

Dreams sitting on rainbows that no one seemed to find
Vines on sunny hillsides that never made no wine
Lost loves and fortunes that just slipped on by
Well someday I’m ‘gonna take the time to put things right
And sometimes dreams make it through in the end
But ain’t it the truth they fall apart now and then
You think you can see one disappear out of view
That don’t stop you trying ’cause you know that’s all that you can do

I cast my mind back when everything was new
And every kiss as warm as the sun breaking through
I can still remember what it felt like at the time
I’ going back to find just what I left behind
Sometimes dreams make it through in the end
But ain’t it the truth they fall apart now and then
You think that you can see one disappear out of view
But that don’t stop you trying ’cause you know that’s all that you can do
That don’t stop you trying you know that’ all that you can do

Country Man

Country Man

Written by Keith Mouland

Well I’ve heard it said that on the day I was born
Some band was playing a Honky Tonk song
That’s why I like the sound of the radio on
Now when I sit out under the moon and stars
Just playing on my old guitar
That feels like the place that I belong
I’m a Country man since the day I was found
I’m a Country man since I put my feet on the ground
You know it’s true I’m an earthy guy
And I don’t go nowhere without my pride
I work all day and I work all night
And since the the time that I hit my stride
I’ve kept the faith on my side
And tomorrow is the only thing on my mind
Well I’m a Country man since the day I was found
A Country man since I put my feet on the ground oh yeah
Well I’m a Country man since the day I was found
Yes I’m a Country man since I put my feet on the ground alright

No Problem

No Problem

Written by Keith Mouland

I’m on the last train running down the coastal line tonight
And I’m thinking ’bout that woman with the sea green eyes
And the Country singer on the radio howlin’ at the moon
Well she was the first one to catch my soul
Guess I’ll always be her fool
But it’s no problem well it’s just some love never came out
No problem I can face another train ride round this town
Around this town well around this town

And let that cold wind blow I won’t hide my face
‘Cause I’ve been on the road too long
And that’s such a long time to waste
I woke up this morning still had the blues
But ike the words in the old song said
Everybody got to pay their dues
It’s no problem no problem justsome loe that never came out
No problem I can face another train ride around this town
Round this town rond this town

And this old town is just a memory from another place and time
It all comes flooding back to me like a song that just slipped my mind slipped my mind
I’m on the last train running down the coastal line tonight

Revelation Day

Revelation Day

Written by Keith Mouland

I’m Standing on a corner a corner in town
Now will the true side of my heart shine through
I see the forces of hate they’re gathering around
Now will the true side of my heart shine through
Well out of the wilderness up to the higher ground
That’s where I’m fixing to fly

I know where I should be and I know the reason why
So will the true side of my heart shine through
Sais will the true side lord the true side
Will the true side of my heart shine through

I see someone in trouble on the far side of the road
Now wil the true side of my heart shine through
And I hear somebody saying I got no place left to go
Will the true side of my heart shine through
Well someday I’m gonna’ find my true side
Ain’t nothing gonna’ stand in my way
I said someday I’m gonna’ find my true side
That’s gonna’ be my revelation day
Well that’s gonna be my revelation day

Best of Blues

Best of Blues

Written by Keith Mouland

Well I ain’t got time to waste my mind I’ve been there before
And I can’t sit around wondering if I should have done less
Or I should have done more because I’m occupied
Making the best of the blues

I could feel sorry for myself I guess because my honey just up and left
And I could sit around in this lonely room trying not to fall apart too soon
But I’m occupied making the best of the blues
Well I’m making the best of the blues I’m doing the best I can do

Looking for some feeling in my soul well maybe some day
I’m gonna’ bring that feeling home I’ll bring it on home
Well I could wake up lying in some cold sweat worrying about what I ain’t done yet
Coul let love slip right through my hands pretend that I don’t understand but I’m occupied making the best of the blues

Yes I’m making the best the best of the blues

Straight from your heart

Straight from your heart

Written by Keith Mouland

We don’t need no in between love we just don’t have the time.
Send it straight from your heart to mine.
We don’t need no fancy stuff don’t need no tricks of the mind.
Send it straight from your heart to mine.
And we don’t want to know the price of giving this love a try.
We should leave the past behind move it on down the line.
Send it straight from your heart to mine.

We don’t need no fantasy of love hanging around all the time.
Send it straight from your heart to mine.
We don’t want to start no war we’ve both been there many times.
Sens it straight from your heart to mine.
And we don’t want to know the time ‘ cause we might only have today or tonight.
We love every thing about it babe we must be coming round again.
Send it straight from your heart to mine.
Straight from your heart to mine.

Welcome to the blues

Welcome to the blues

Written by Keith Mouland

When the sun in the morning don’t seem to shine so bright.
And that dark patch of sky hangs over you.
When that long lonesome feeling just settles down in your mind.
Hey come on in and welcome to the blues.

Well you’re down at the crossroads you’re looking all around.
You wind down the silence just to hear a friendly sound.
There’s cars on the highway but you can’t flag one down.
Yeah come on in and welcome to the blues.

Now you’ve forgotten how to dream.
You say it’s just a waste of time.
Well nothing lights your fire.
Lord you lost you lost your appetite.
You walk out in the night you start howling at the moon.
Hey come on in and welcome to the blues.
Now welcome to the blues.
Oh yeah now welcome to the blues.

Dogstar Blues

Dogstar Blues

Written by Keith Mouland

Dogstar blues just rolling high.
Underneath the moon, above the mountain line.
A pretty memory fades in a rusty tank.
But the old Earth knows the way when the night sky shines.
With dogstar blues, dogstar blues, dogstar blues, dogstar blues.

Dogstar blues now the seed begins.
Down the dry canal runs an idling wind.
Blow a single kiss goodbye to the virgin sky.
And then cry like a baby when the night sky shines.
With dogstar blues. dogstar blues, dogstar blues.

Strangers in this land

Strangers in this land

Written by Keith Mouland.

Before the monumental towers stood tall and alone
Before the broken arrow and the fields of blood and bone
I waited for the morning I saw the razor blade of light
Open out across this valley in the time before time

I’m a stranger in this land I’m a prisoner who stands
On the edge of your sight just passing by passing by
An alien that falls and a scorpion that crawls
Down into the earth for what it’s worth for what it’s worth
Now there was a place and there was a time

All the young trees were standing tall against the sky
The morning was clear the daylight was bright
I crashed in down where the border was thin
With my eyes open wide

I’m a stranger in this land a prisoner who stands
On the edge of your sight just passing by passing by
An alien that falls and a scorpion that crawls
Down into the earth for what it’s worth for what it’s worth

For what it’s worth

I Don’t Think About That

I Don’t Think About That

Written by Keith Mouland.

I’m sitting here all alone
Funny I don’t care at all
You see I’m laughing at the blues

I’m happy to be sad you better believe it’s true
And I don’t think about that no more
No I don’t think about that no more
Maybe I should give my eye teeth

To be closer to a love just out of reach
Instead of laughing at the blues
I could think about the love we once knew
But I don’t think about that no more

No I don’t think about that no more
And I used to wear my heart on my sleeve
Not so long ago
But now I just can’t squeeze a tear

You’re gone but they won’t show
Well there must be people with the blues tonight
And I feel sorry for the way they cry
They’re washed up from some golden dream

Not up or down just somewhere in between
But I don’t think about that no more
No I don’t think about that no more
And I don’t think about that no more

No I don’t think about that no more
I don’t think about that no more
I don’t think about that no more
