It sums up the term “AMERICANA” for me because there was this kid ( me ) living the dream, the cowboy dream. I took on board the romance of the old wild west scene with all it’s characters, sights and sounds and it really didn’t bother me that it was coming from the other side of the world. it fed my imagination and I ate it up.
In those day there was no social media but there was film, television, radio, comics and annuals that portrayed the image pretty well.
Countless kids, like me at that time got into this fantasy and there must be many still out there who know what I’m talking about.
Sure good to relive that moment in a song!
