Steel Driving Wheels

Written by Keith Mouland

Steel driving wheels rolling on a track so free
On a Saturday morning it feels like a Monday to me
Heading for a town where nobody knows my name
Rolling along to the rhythm of the train

Sunlight on a misty morning when our love came breaking through
Sunlight on a misty morning that’s how I remember you
We could have hung around one more night
And started up again
Rolling along to the rhythm of the train

Now steel driving wheels carry me along
The sooner I’m out there the sooner I’m gone
No phone no forward address I’m on my own again
Rolling along to the rhythm of the train

Sunlight on a misty morning when our love came breaking though
Sunlight on a misty morning that’s how I remember you
We could have hung around one more night
And started up again
Rolling along to the rhythm of the train.
